Special baggage
Special baggage requires prior approval from Sales Support, who can be contacted on 08 25 35 35 35. This baggage is charged differently and must be mentioned in your booking.
The following is considered to be special baggage:
Non-electric bicycle/tandem
This baggage which can only be transported in the hold is considered as special baggage, it is not included in the allowed limit, and it is subject to additional fees payable at the airport or in advance to Sales Support. (see fees below). Prior approval from Sales Support - on 0825 35 35 35(€0.20 incl. VAT/min) daily from 08:00 to 20:00 - is required for transport.
The request must be made at the latest 48 hours before departure.
The permitted weight limit of your bicycle or tandem, including packaging, is 23 kg.
Above this permitted weight limit, excess baggage fees are applicable (see fees below).
Any equipment weighing more than 32 kg must be transported by the airport’s Freight service.
A bicycle or tandem must be packaged in a suitable container or box. The handlebars must be turned across the length of the bicycle. The pedals and other projecting parts must be removed, and tyre pressure must be let down.
Additional fees for transporting your bicycle or tandem increase according to the journey:
- Flights in metropolitan France excluding Paris flights: €40
- Flights to or from Paris: €40
- Flights in Europe: €75
Excess baggage fees, if your equipment weighs more than 23 kg (up to a maximum of 32 kg), increase according to the journey:

- Flights to or from Paris: €20
- Flights in Europe: €55
Golf equipment
Golf equipment, can only be transported in the hold, is considered standard baggage and included free of charge in the price of the ticket. Prior approval from Sales Support - on 0825 35 35 35(€0.20 incl. VAT/min) daily from 08:00 to 20:00 - is required for transport.
The request must be made at the latest 48 hours before departure.
The permitted weight limit of your equipment is 23 kg. Above this allowed weight limit or if you are bringing your sporting equipment in addition to your baggage allowance, excess baggage fees will be applicable (see fees below).
Any equipment weighing more than 32 kg must be transported by the airport’s Freight service.
Golf equipment can include a golf bag with clubs, balls and a pair or golf shoes only. Golf bags containing clothing or other items are considered as standard baggage.
Excess baggage fees, if the weight of your equipment is greater than 23 kg (up to a maximum of 32 kg), increase according to the journey:
- Flights in metropolitan France excluding Paris flights: €20
- Flights to or from Paris: €20
- Flights in Europe: €55
FLYING BLUE GOLF CLUB members for any journey with Air Corsica to and from Paris only, benefit from free transport of their golf equipment no matter the number of bags checked in as hold baggage. The weight of the golf equipment may not exceed 23 kg. Above this permitted weight limit, excess baggage fees are applicable (see fees below).
To enjoy this privilege, members of this club who are travelling must fill out the appropriate form on the Flying Blue Golf website, bring the voucher obtained and present it at the check in desk.
Water sports equipment (surfboard, kitesurfing board or bodyboard) weighing more than 23 kg
If it is less than 300 cm and 23 kg, it is included in the allowance. If the allowance is exceeded, the bag is charged as a standard piece of excess baggage.
Scuba tanks
Scuba tanks are not included in the baggage allowance, additional fee of €20/journey (France flights excluding Paris) and €40/journey(Paris and Europe flights).
Hunting/sports rifles
This type of baggage can only be transported in the hold and is considered as standard baggage, and included free of charge in the price of the ticket. Air rifles, hunting rifles and sports rifles are regulated firearms. Their transportation is subject to specific authorisation and approval is mandatory.
Please notify Sales Support on 0825 35 35 35 (€0.20 incl. VAT/min) daily from 08:00 to 20:00 or your travel agent. The request must be made at the latest 48 hours before departure.

To transport them, you must be in possession of a permit to carry and the necessary documents for the transport of weapons and ammunition, which will be required at registration :
- Download and fill out the Declaration for the transport of a hunting rifle, sports rifles or ammunition
- export/import licences,
- permits from the local and national authorities.
Additional fees, over the baggage allowance permitted on your fare, increase according to the journey:
- Flights in metropolitan France excluding Paris flights: €20
- Flights to or from Paris: €70
- Flights in Europe: €55
Maximum ammunition 5 kg
Ammunition (division 1.4 S) is limited to 5 kg per passenger (including packaging), is treated as special baggage, not included in the permitted baggage allowance and subject to additional fees payable exclusively at the airport (see fees below). If ammunition is transported without firearms, additional fees are still applicable.
Their transportation is subject to specific authorisation and approval is mandatory. Please notify Sales Support on 0825 35 35 35 (€0.20 incl. VAT/min) daily from 08:00 to 20:00 or your travel agent.
The request must be made at the latest 48 hours before departure.
Ammunition for all hunting rifles and calibrated firearms less than or equal to 19.1 mm, is permitted on our flights. To transport them you must present the security data sheet validated by our Exceptional Transport Service at check-in.
The transport of loose ammunition is prohibited, and ammunition cannot be packaged in a passenger’s baggage containing personal effects (isolated transport is obligatory). It must be packaged separately from the firearm, packaged neatly in a single container (a strong cardboard, wooden or metal box) and must be padded securely to ensure that it does not slide.
Additional fees for transporting your ammunition increase according to the journey:
- Flights in metropolitan France excluding Paris flights: €20
- Flights to or from Paris: €20
- Flights in Europe: €40
And the following equipment if it exceeds the size and weight limit permitted in the cabin and in the hold:
Surfboard, bodyboard, kitesurfing board, windsurfing board or longboard
This type of baggage transported only in the hold is considered as standard baggage, and included free of charge in the price of the ticket. VAT/min) daily from 08:00 to 20:00 and, from abroad, on 00 33 4 95 20 95 20 (n ° not surcharged), 7 days a week from 8:00 to 20:00 - is required for transport.

Transport of this equipment is prohibited on our ATR72s. Any equipment weighing more than 32 kg or measuring more than 300 cm must be transported by the airport’s Freight service.
Additional fees, if the weight of your equipment is greater than 23 kg (up to a maximum of 32 kg), increase according to the journey:

- Flights to or from Paris: €20
- Flights in Europe: €55
Diving equipment
Diving equipment (excluding scuba tanks), can only be transported in the hold, is considered standard baggage included free of charge in the price of the ticket. Prior approval from Sales Support - on0825 35 35 35 (€0.20 incl. VAT/min) daily from 08:00 to 20:00 - is required for transport.
The request must be made at the latest 48 hours before departure.
The permitted weight limit of your equipment is 23 kg. Above this permitted limit or if you are bringing your sporting equipment in addition to your baggage allowance, excess baggage fees will be applicable (see fees below).

Diving equipment can include a wetsuit, buoyancy control jacket, diving socks, mask, diving shoes, flippers, a diver’s knife and a regulator control.
Diving lamps must be transported in hand baggage, with the bulb and batteries removed. Scuba tanks (for underwater diving) must be empty and the pressure regulator must be either open or removed.
However, scuba tanks (empty) are treated as special baggage, are not included in your baggage allowance and are subject to additional fees (see fees below). The transport of oxygen diving tanks is prohibited in the cabin and in the hold.

Skis and snowboards
This type of baggage can only be transported in the hold and is considered as standard baggage included free of charge in the price of the ticket. Prior approval from Sales Support - on 0825 35 35 35(€0.20 incl. VAT/min) daily from 08:00 to 20:00 and, from abroad, on 00 33 4 95 20 95 20 (n ° not surcharged), 7 days a week from 8:00 to 20:00 - is required for transport.

The permitted weight limit of your equipment is 23 kg and the size limit is 300 cm. Above this allowed weight limit or if you are bringing your sporting equipment in addition to your baggage allowance, excess baggage fees will be applicable (see fees below).
Any equipment weighing more than 32 kg or measuring more than 300 cm must be transported by the airport’s Freight service.
Ski equipment (Alpine or cross-country) or snowboard equipment may include a snowboard + a pair of snowboard boots or a pair of skis + two ski poles + one pair of ski boots.
Your pair of skis or snowboard must be packaged in a special cover and your boots can be placed in a separate bag. These two items of baggage are treated as one single item of baggage.
Excess baggage fees, if the weight of your equipment is greater than 23 kg (up to a maximum of 32 kg), increase according to the journey:

Non-electric scooter
A (non-electric) scooter transported only in the hold is considered as a standard piece of baggage included free of charge in the price of the ticket. Prior approval from the Sales Department - on 0825 35 35 35 (€0.20 incl. VAT/min) daily from 08:00 to 20:00 and, from abroad, on 00 33 4 95 20 95 20 (n ° not surcharged), 7 days a week from 8:00 to 20:00 - is required for transport.

Snowblades are permitted in the hold in a suitable case or packaging. For safety reasons, their transport is not permitted in the cabin. These are considered dangerous items, just like sharp objects. They are not permitted through security and will be confiscated and destroyed.

Fishing equipment
Fishing equipment, can only be transported in the hold, and is considered standard baggage included free of charge in the price of the ticket.

The permitted weight limit of your equipment is 23 kg and the size limit is 158 cm. Above this allowed weight and size limit or if you are bringing your sporting equipment in addition to your baggage allowance, excess baggage fees will be applicable (see fees below).
Any equipment weighing more than 32 kg or measuring more than 300cm must be transported by the airport’s Freight service.
Fishing equipment includes one or two fishing rods, one reel, one net, one pair of waders, one box of fishing gear. This equipment must all be packed together.
Excess baggage fees, if the weight of your equipment is greater than 23 kg (up to a maximum of 32 kg), increase according to the journey:

Additional fees, regardless of travel class, if the size of your equipment is greater than 158 cm (up to a maximum of 300 cm), increase according to the journey:
- Flights in metropolitan France excluding Paris flights: €20

- Flights in Europe: €55
Musical instruments
There are four different options for transporting your musical instrument:
- As hold baggage:
Your musical instrument must be packaged in a case made of hard material. We are not responsible for damage caused to your instrument if this is not correctly packaged.
A packed instrument of a maximum length of 100 cm and up to a weight of 23 kg is considered as one item of baggage therefore it is included in the baggage limit.
If it exceeds this weight, or if you are bringing it in addition to your baggage allowance, excess baggage fees will be applicable.
PLEASE NOTE:
If the total measurements (l+ w+ h) of your instrument including packaging are greater than 203 cm, or if it weighs more than 32 kg, you must obtain authorisation.
- As hand baggage:
You can bring a musical instrument, such as a guitar or smaller instrument, as hand baggage. This can be carried in place of your standard permitted item of hand luggage. The dimensions may not exceed 115 cm (l+w+h).
- On an additional seat:
Larger instruments that will not fit in the overhead stowage compartments nor under the seat in front of you, can be transported in the cabin on a seat booked in advance. This is only possible if your instrument is no longer than 140 cm and weighs less than 46 kg. Please contact sales support on 0825 35 35 35 (€0.20 incl. VAT/min), daily from 08:00 to 20:00,and, from abroad, on 00 33 4 95 20 95 20 (n ° not surcharged), 7 days a week from 8:00 to 20:00 at least 48 hours before departure to book a seat for your instrument.
- As freight:
If your musical instrument weighs more than 46 kilos or if it exceeds 406 cm (l + w + h), it can only be transported by the airport’s Freight service.
Transport of baggage as freight:
Baggage that exceeds the allowed size or weight limit can only be transported as freight by Air Corsica Cargo. You can also use this service to transport your special baggage.
- No piece of hold baggage can weigh more than 32 kg (70.5 lbs). Any item of baggage that exceeds the maximum allowed weight limit can only be transported as freight.
- The total combined weight of your hold baggage cannot exceed 200 kg (441 lbs).
- The maximum allowed dimensions for each item of hold baggage depend on the type of the aeroplane and range from 190 cm (74 inches) to 323 cm (127 inches) (length + width + height).
