The Corsican residents’ rate
Corsican Residents’ Rates : classic and conditional
Corsican Residents’ Rates are available for anyone with proof of primary residence in Corsica, undertaking a return flight from Corsica to Paris Orly, Marseilles or Nice.
The classic Corsican residents’ rate
Maximum length of stay 60 days, extended to 180 days (6 months validity) for Corsican resident students. The classic Corsican residents’ rate is only refundable for return tickets with unlimited changes in the period of authorised stay.
The conditional Corsican residents’ rate
The duration of stay must be between 4 days minimum and 6 days maximum and the booking must be made at least 45 days before departure. For conditional Corsican resident student rates, the maximum length of stay is 30 days (1 month validity). The conditional Corsican residents’ rate is not flexible and non-refundable.
Free baggage allowance with the Corsican residents’ rates
The free baggage allowance is the same for all passengers booking on the Corsican residents’ rate, namely 2 pieces of hold baggage weighing not more than 23 kg and one piece of hand luggage (12 kg limit on the Airbus and 8 kg on the ATR).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
To access these Corsican residents’ rates, tick the box “all passengers are Corsican residents”. If your journey is eligible for the two Corsican residents’ rates, the two rates will be shown. Otherwise, only the classic residents’ rate will be shown.
Necessary proof of residence
The only official proof - to the exclusion of any other authorised proof - of residence, to be presented during your return trip for each passenger on the booking is as follows:
- National ID card,
- Passport,
- Driver’s license (only with an address)
- Income tax assessment.
- Proof of student registration, accompanied by the student’s National ID card, Passport or Driver’s license (only with an address).
- Employer’s certificate for civil servants only, issued by the Corsican Prefecture.
- Proof of social security

Baggage
How much luggage can I take in the hold ?
- Passengers with a "Light" ticket do not have hold baggage included in the ticket price. When booking on our website, they can choose the "additional baggage" option and add this paid service.
- Passengers who have a "Standard" ticket are entitled to one 23kg hold baggage item included in the ticket price.
- Passengers with a "Top" ticket are entitled to 2 pieces of 23kg hold baggage included in the ticket price. Except on routes between Paris-Orly and Corsica (Ajaccio, Bastia, Calvi and Figari).
- Passengers with a ticket at the "Corsica Resident Fare" are entitled to 1 hold baggage item of 23kg included in the ticket price. This allowance is increased to 2 hold baggage items of 23kg each for students, young people and children attending school on the Continent or of divorced parents, one of whom resides in Corsica and the other on the Continent.
- Passengers benefiting from the "Subscriber Fare" are entitled to 2 pieces of hold luggage of 23kg each included in the price of the ticket.

What is the maximum weight allowed for one piece of hold baggage ?
The maximum weight allowed is 23kg per baggage for an adult and/or child, and 10kg for an infant (under 2 years old). In case of excess, additional fees are applicable.

What are the maximum dimensions of carry-on baggage ?
The maximum dimensions allowed in the cabin are 115cm (55cm x 35cm x 25cm).

Can I take my bike with me ?
You can take your bike with you, in the hold, but we inform you that its transport is subject to specific conditions due to the operating rules in force. Please consult the "Sports equipment" information pages online and when you book online, contact our Sales Assistance department on 0 825 35 35 35 (€0.20 cts /min.) and, from abroad, on 00 33 4 95 20 95 20 (non surcharged number), 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm, to report this.
Can I take plants to Corsica ?
Since May 11, 2015, the transport of certain plants has been prohibited regardless of their origin, by application of a prefectoral decree dated April 30, 2015 relating to the prevention of the introduction of the Xylella Fastidiosa bacterium into Corsica.
My animal
How can I prepare my animal for the journey?
The transport of animals is regulated for operating and safety reasons. While making your booking online, please contact our sales support department on 0 825 35 35 35 (€0.20 cents/min.) and, from abroad, on 00 33 4 95 20 95 20 (n ° not surcharged), 7 days a week from 8:00 to 20:00 to notify them regarding transportation for your animal and to specify its breed and weight. Animals weighing less than 8 kg (including the bag) are allowed in the cabin. If your animal weighs more than 8 kg, it must travel in the hold in a regulated cage. What is the cost for transporting my animal?
You can transport your animal: in the cabin for €20 in metropolitan France (Zone 1), €30 for flights to and from Paris (Zone 1) and €40 for flights in Europe (Zone 2). In the hold for €20 in metropolitan France (Zone 1), €60 for flights to and from Paris (Zone 1) and €40 for flights in Europe (Zone 2). Children and babies
To travel with my infant under the age of 2 years, is the French family record book acceptable?
No, for infants under the age of 2 years, the French family record book is not accepted by local authorities. Each passenger must carry proof of identity.
Since 26 June 2012, for journeys to or within Europe, any European minor* must be in possession of a personal identity document (passport or national identity card depending on the destination).
For journeys requiring a passport, minors must have their own passport and can no longer be registered on that of a parent.
My baby has not been born yet. How can I make my booking?

My child has to travel unaccompanied. What is the procedure to ensure that the company takes care of them?

I am pregnant. Until what stage can I fly?
You can travel until the end of your pregnancy but are advised to consult a GP and obtain a medical certificate to specify that you are in a fit state to travel by air.

How can I join the frequent-flier programme?
You can join our frequent-flier programme by registering on the website: www.jegagne1billet.com.
How can I get an Air Corsica Plus membership card?
You can get our Air Corsica + membership card directly from the website Air Corsica Plus.
The card is issued for €300 in your name for a period of one year and it is non-transferable.
There are several advantages to this: priority on the waiting list for bookings and at the airport, a hold baggage allowance of 2 bags weighing 23 kg, seating in rows 1 to 3 on the Airbus and 15 to 18 on the ATR, a reduction of around 30% of the full fare on all our routes, and benefits from our partner Hertz (negotiated rate, upgrades if available). The cost of the card will be covered if you undertake more than 6 return journeys.
Travel insurance
Why is travel insurance necessary?
Travel insurance covers you from the moment you buy the insurance until the end of the trip concerned (in accordance with the cover taken out). Travel insurance is there to cover you from unknown risks from the moment of subscription: it should not be taken out following an event which could disrupt the journey.
One of the passengers is a 2-year-old infant. Will he or she be insured?
Even if an infant does not pay the same price for the journey, they must appear on the travel insurance contract, regardless of the age, in case of eventual repatriation. Please also include their surname and first name, as this guarantees the contract.
Is it possible to insure someone who is not a French national?
Yes. In general, the condition is that the insured party’s fiscal domicile is in France or the European Union (see particular cases for insurance contracts).
Do I need to insure all family members even if only one is paying?
Yes. There is a distinction between the payer and the insured party, all members undertaking travel must be registered on the travel insurance contract.

How to hire a car with Drive Plus?
Choose and select your flight , give the passenger information, then in the services section remember to tick the box “Yes, I would like to hire a car” and choose your category. Easy, your vehicle will be reserved. You will receive a booking confirmation email at the bottom of which will be your car reservation.

Younger drivers?
For younger drivers, the driver must be at least 21 years old and have been in possession of a driving licence for over one year. Drivers aged between 21 and 25 years are subject to a “Young driver” supplement (€37.13, including taxes, per day limited to 12 days at €445.56, including taxes, per contract).

Funerary urn
You can transport a funerary urn in the cabin or hold on Air Corsica flights. No authorization is required to transport an urn within metropolitan France or to and from France's overseas territories. However, you are required to have transport authorization issued by the local prefecture where the cremation was performed if you plan to travel outside of metropolitan France or France’s overseas territories.
In the cabin
The maximum dimensions are those for cabin baggage : 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm.
In the cabin and hold
- The urn must be sealed and packed in a container that does not allow other passengers to identify it as such.
- You must be in possession of a certificate from the crematorium, in order to avoid having the urn opened by airport security.
Drone
Can I transport a drone?
To transport a drone on our airline, you must contact us before departure indicating the make, weight and dimensions of the packaged drone, as well as the number and power in Wh of the batteries. The maximum allowed power is 160 Wh. You must also send the MSDS from the supplier to the company’s TEX department by email for transport approval.
Additional rechargeable batteries are limited to 2 per person. Each battery must be protected against short-circuiting, isolated with adhesive tape and placed in individual plastic bags, in their original packaging or in an individual LiPo protective envelope.
The drone will be accepted in the hold on the condition that the lithium batteries are transported in the hand baggage.

Syringes
I am travelling with a medical-use syringe: what are the regulations?
Medical-use syringes are authorized in the cabin with a prescription. You must present the prescription at security. You are entirely responsible for the use of syringes. Do not leave used syringes on board. Please remember to place them in a secure container after use.

My flight
I need proof of the delay or cancellation of my flight for insurance. Who must I contact to get this?
You must contact our “Customer Relations” department by post: AIR CORSICA-NAPOLEON BONAPARTE AIRPORT-BP505 -20186 AJACCIO CEDEX 2 or by email. Do not forget to include your ticket number and booking reference.
My flight was delayed or cancelled. How can I submit a claim?
To submit a claim, contact our Customer Relations Department.

My booking
I have not received confirmation of my booking. How can I get this?
Please send your request to support-commercial@aircorsica.com with your surname, first name, date and route.
How can I get an invoice?
When you receive your booking confirmation email (the “voyage memo”), you will see a link to the “PAYMENT” section that allows you to produce your invoice.
How can I book tickets for a group?
If you are travelling in a group (+ than 9 people) from the mainland, click on the PRO SPACE tab. Select “GROUPS” and follow the instructions.
How can I change my booking?
On our home page there is a link to “Manage my booking” , click on this and follow the instructions.
Can I check in online the day before departure?
You can check in online 30 hours before departure.
How can I claim a refund for my flight ticket?
If your ticket was reserved and issued by telephone with our Sales Support department or through our website www.aircorsica.com, please email us onremboursements@aircorsica.com or telephone on 0 825 35 35 35 (€0.20 cents/min.) and, from abroad, on 00 33 4 95 20 95 20 (n ° not surcharged), 7 days a week from 8:00 to 20:00 . Otherwise, please contact your point of sales.
Baggage: Damage, flights, delays, etc.
I have forgotten an item on the aeroplane. Who should I notify to get it back?
If you have lost or forgotten an item on board an aeroplane, please consult the welcome desk at the arrival airport, and they will direct you to the relevant Baggage department. The baggage department keeps an up-to-date list of lost and found items. If you have lost an item in the airport, please consult the airport’s website to contact their Lost and Found department.
How can I get a missing baggage report number for my delayed baggage?
Within 5 days, contact the “Baggage Call Centre” on 0 970 808 816 from metropolitan France or 0 155 698 468 for calls from other countries.
After the 6th day of your baggage going missing, you can contact our customer services from Monday to Friday 08:00 to 12:00 on 0 809 10 11 05 (charged as a local call from a landline) or send an email to serviceclientele@aircorsica.com.
Please send all the original proof as this will enable us to handle your query :

- evidence of leather craft, etc.
I have incurred additional costs because of my bag’s delay. How will you reimburse me for it?
Your baggage was more than 24 hours late and you have had to make necessity purchases (toiletries, medication and vital clothing).
In this case, submit a claim by email to serviceclientele@aircorsica.com.
Do not forget to attach your ORIGINAL boarding card, baggage tag for the missing bag, expense receipts.
What is the deadline to report damage to baggage and what is the procedure to follow?
You must declare damage to your baggage to the Baggage Service as soon the flight arrives.
If, however, you notice damage later, you have 7 days to report it, from the day on which you received your baggage. In this case, send a written declaration to our Customer Relations by email to serviceclientele@aircorsica.com.
Do not forget to attach your ORIGINAL boarding card, baggage tag for the relevant bag, photos of the bag showing the damage.
There is something missing from my baggage. What is the procedure to follow in this case?
If you notice this on arrival at the airport, please go to Baggage Services to inform them. The duty officer will advise the procedure to follow.
If, however, you notice later, you have 7 days to report it, from the day on which you received your baggage.
In this case, send a written declaration to our Customer Relations by email to serviceclientele@aircorsica.com.
Do not forget to attach your ORIGINAL boarding card, baggage tag for the relevant bag, proof of purchase of the item.
IN-FLIGHT
On board services
Does the Air Corsica company offer a special service on board its flights ?
On each flight Air Corsica serves hot and cold drinks, and both savoury and sweet snacks depending on the time of the flight.
Are refreshments on board Air Corsica flights charged separately ?
All services on board Air Corsica flights are completely free. There are no supplements to be paid for during the flight.
What drinks are offered during the flight ?
The Air Corsica cabin crew will serve still or sparkling Corsican mineral water, fruit juice (apple, orange or tomato), Coca Cola, Coke Zero, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cappuccino.
Are there newspapers on board Air Corsica flights ?
On board all our flights, there are local daily papers and the daily Corse Matin as well as our monthly on-board magazine, ARIA, containing the latest news from the company.
Can I get something to eat on the Air Corsica flights ?
In addition to drinks, you will be offered a sweet or savoury biscuit snack on board the flight.
I am flying for the first time, can I make a record of it ?
In this case, just ask our team and they will give you an “ Air Baptism Certificate ” signed by the captain.
What is offered by Air Corsica for the comfort of the passengers ?
To make your flight with us enjoyable, our cabin crew provides earplugs, blankets and refreshing towelettes.
