The Palace is full of rooms and prestigious lounges where take place the various activities of the Kingand the Royal Family (work session, round tables, recptions, concerts, breakfasts…). Since 1965, the Royal Palace has been available to the public every summer after the national holiday of the 21st of july until the begining of september.
Some architectural golden oldies are nestled in the heart of the Palace : the ceremonial staircase and the vestibule, the bog lobby, the Empire Room, the little and the large white lounge, the Venice staircase, the Goya lounge, the Cobourg lounge, the Louis XVI lounge, the Marshal lounge, the Throne room, the marbles room, the large Galery, the mirror room, and the thinkers lounge or «squared lounge».
