From the " Maison Bonaparte (Bonaparte House " where he was born, located at 1 rue Saint-Charles and now a museum, follow the route that will lead you to the heart of the old city of Ajaccio, and then to the cathedral where he was baptised. Continue your journey by visiting the Napoleonic section in the Musée Fesch (Fesch Museum), the domaine des Milelli (Milelli Estate) on the heights of the city which is the site of Bonaparte's old country house, then the esplanade of the open-air Casone Theatre where stands the imposing statue of the emperor at the top of a magnificent staircase. Do not miss the Place Charles De Gaulle in the centre of the Imperial City where Napoleon's statue, surrounded by his brothers in arms mounted on their horses, is erected.

Finally, do not miss the 15 August festivities which celebrate the birth of Ajaccio's child prodigy with various ceremonies and in particular the procession of the “ grognards ”, the Napoleonic soldiers of the imperial guard. A splendid firework display, which can be watched from the port, will be set off for the occasion !
